Dating gerber mark ii knife

Anyway, thought you guys might like to see one of my favorite Just Cause items.

My friend also brought home a captured East German AK boyonet as a war trophy. From what I understand, his unit was not allowed to bring back many items from Panama.

I have recently obtained a couple of Gerber Mk 2 knives to add to my collection of knives used by Australian Military Forces.

In other words how do these people know what year their knife was made by the serial numbers?

Hi, I owned a Gerber Mark II several years ago and it had a serial number to date by.

He received some sort of recognition for driving a captured Panamanian V-300 fighting vehicle and saving a group of US soldiers that were pinned down.

He says they were SEAL's, but I'm not sure.

S/N 074607 was made in the later months of 1916 was made in the early months of 1979. I guess you have to shovel a lot of coal to find a couple of diamonds!!

Your sheath which I call a type PT5 is the correct one for both of your knives. The bonus is that I learnt about a great new site that I can refer Gerbaholics to!!This 40 year-old jewel features a black oxide coated 420 HC double serrated blade and die cast aluminum handle. The Gerber Mark II is a fighting knife manufactured by Gerber Legendary Blades from 1967 to 2000, with an additional limited run of 1500 in 2002, and full production resuming as of July 2008.Hello: I often see advertisements for collector Gerber knives and the owner states the knife was made in such and such a year because of the serial number. My question is this, is there a book that one can buy that tells one what year the Gerber knife was made?He said that they were made to empty their pockets, rucksacks, etc.
